This could actually be a game changer for driving range sessions . I don’t know about anyone else but this one was the first I have seen of its kind . You can adjust it to quite a good height and it also comes with measurements on the tee it’s self to tell you how high it is and to make sure that it stays consistent each time you go . It also just means that you can get it to the same height as the tee you use out on the course as I tend to find that the driving range tees normally are just a little smaller and a little bigger than your average castle tees and just how high for me personally at least I like to tee it . It also feels better to hit from than the rubber ones that a much thicker and have a lot more friction through impact . I though that might of been a problem actually as I thought it could be prone to breaking but it feels really strong and I can see it lasting for a number of practice sessions . How do you grip your clubs? 🤔 . This glove from @mailordergolf allows you to check your grip to see if you have a strong, weak or neutral grip . There are many different ways to actually hold the golf club, but ultimately your hands are going to be set in one of these three ways . - Disregarding how you actually connect your hands, the neutral grip is how most people are taught to hold the golf club as this gives the easiest and best chance of controlling the club face through the swing . The neutral grip consists of (for right handed players) the v in your right hand between your thumb and finger pointing up to your right armpit, and the left v in between your thumb and finger pointing towards your left armpit where you should then be able to only see 2 maybe three knuckles on your left hand from a set up position . - A strong grip then is when your grip moves around the club to the right and will be more in the palm of your hands rather than the fingers . This is where a lot of people feel like they can generate a lot of power from and is a typical grip of someone who has played a lot of cricket in their time. . Only with a golf club, using this grip will create more of a draw as it allows the hands to turn over through impact much easier so you can lose a lot of shots out to the left easier than you would with a neutral grip . - and then finally the weak grip is where your grip moves around to the left of the grip. This position lives up to its name and doesn’t allow for much power. Need to thank @mailordergolf for sending me out this meandmygolf impact bag which is going to help save me from breaking my wrists hitting this tyre . Apparently back in the day hitting a tyre with your iron was a good way of training as it has multiple benefits from doing so . One thing that isn’t a benefit is the wrist injuries that can come with hitting a tyre.. which actually is what Bryson was struggling with and I recently watched a video of him hitting a tyre as hard as he could repeatedly during a training session . Another thing is that having access to a spare tyre isn’t that common so an impact bag is a much easier way to train . The idea of this putter is very unique as it is designed based on a Texas wedge style of putting by giving it a flat 0° face just a bit wider than the leading edge of a wedge . I actually thought I might struggle with this putter as i do have a tendency of hitting quite high up on the ball with a normal putter but if anything, the strike was feeling better with this Spoiler OG . The feel is really nice off the face and it is one of the easiest putters I have ever used at keeping the face square through impact especially on strikes coming out of the toe . Still need to get it outside and on a course which I will be doing once the weather gets a bit better and will do a proper full review from there . Including going stealth mode on this jaws full toe raw with a blue pure grip and s taper black shaft (follow to see the finished product) . G paint for the colour fill . Using Tesco white spirit to clean off excess paint outside of the text . This is how I glued the insert back into the odyssey stroke lab putter . I have to say that it didnt come out that clean when being pulled out originally and it would really be a better option in getting a replacement insert for this. . However , looks aside and the putter can be used as normal again, as once it was glued back in it is no longer loose and effecting performance . Ive found that two part epoxy is the best way to go about securing it back in, making sure to evenly spread it out over the putter face surface and getting right into the corners . When the insert is placed in, you do need to keep it in place for a good 10 minutes or so to make sure that it sits flat and that they’re aren’t any raised sections especially if it is a reused insert as they do bend quite easy when being pulled out . (It also makes sense due to this reason to use faster setting epoxy that does set in 10 minutes or so) . When you have waited the 10 minutes you could actually call that done but there will be a gap between the inert and the face . This is how to remove an odyssey face insert . This is quite a common fault with these stroke lab putters when the face becomes slightly loose and you can feel it moving as you strike the ball . If this happens to your putter and it lies outside of the two year warranty with the putter, then callaway would be unlikely to replace it so knowing how to do this can be quite useful . By boiling it in a pan for 10 minutes or so, this loosens the double sided tape that’s holding it together . (Yes double sided tape which is probably why they have a history of coming loose 😅) . Once it becomes loose enough to complete remove, u can then try picking it out at a side, just far enough to where you can get something else in there behind it . There is a chance that it might slightly mark the insert doing this so its worth doing it in a corner where it isn’t going to effect the performance of the putter . Once you have something behind the face then it is usually quite easy just to prise the rest of it off .
