Loaded Homemade Potato Soup is my favorite soup recipe for fall! 🍂🍲 So many people are begging for the recipe from my viral soup video so ingredients are below! 💛 Ingredients: 3lb gold potatoes 1/2 red onion diced 1/2 lb bacon for topping 1 tsp minced garlic 1 tbsp butter 3 tsp all purpose flour 48 oz chicken broth (1/2 unsalted) 1 tsp slap ya mama (less for less spice) 1 tsp garlic powder 1 tsp onion powder 1 tsp pepper 8 oz heavy whipping cream For topping: Shredded sharp cheddar Chopped green onions Bacon bits Sour cream or greek yogurt (trust me) Directions: 1. Cut up bacon and cook in same pot you plan to make the soup in 2. Remove bacon from pot & drain most of grease 3. Cook diced red onion in bacon grease until transluscent then add minced garlic 4. Once garlic is fragrant mix in tbsp of butter 5. Whisk in 3 tsp of all purpose flour one at a time 6. Pour in 32 oz of chicken broth & bring to a boil (I like to use half salted/half unsalted) 7. Once boiling, add in diced gold potatoes. Boil until fork tender. 8. Add in all seasonings above 9. Mash potatoes with large serving spoon until you reach desired thickness of soup 10. Stir in 8 oz heavy whipping cream & let simmer until bubbling 11. Many of you asked what the rest of my kitchen looks like, so while it is clean 🙃 here it is! I loved everyone’s suggestions for above the window and a few suggested a scroll or crown molding. I didnt want to spend much or take away from the stained glass, so I checked Facebook marketplace and found this ornate pediment for $20 🤩 The woman who sold it to me was so sweet and said she ordered the wrong size for her door and didnt want to deal with the hassel of returning it haha Its a very cold day here but there is plenty of sunshine ☀️ Thanks everyone for loving the stained glass and for all of the sweet compliments on my home.
