You guyyyyyssss SURPRISE!!!!! This all happened so fast and it’s been such a wild day and this is the first second I have had to post an update! During rounds today, we all discussed how Luca is ready to be discharged from the hospital! It was a crazy busy day going over all the things, signing off on all the things, and saying goodbye 🥹. The medical teams and staff have become like family to us over these last three months, I can’t even put into words how much they have meant to us. I won’t miss the NICU but I will miss them. We had a Doctor these last few months that I believe was hand picked by God. He worked with me and trusted my opinions, he cared about what i had to say and we collaborated every step of the way. Our NICU nurses are actual angels on earth, they have carried us in some of our darkest moments and cheered us on every step of Luca’s health. I will miss them all and I’m tearing up just thinking about it, I mentally and emotionally wouldn’t have survived these last three months without them. If you’re reading this (I know you are ☺️) @childrensofal we love you 🤍. Today everything was reviewed by the state for clearance in regards to Luca’s adoption. Around 2:00 we got clearance from Alabama and by 5:00 we got clearance from Florida. You guys, we can go home 😭. Our adoption attorney has become like family and she did everything in her power for this fast turnaround and it worked! We are staying here tonight to get some rest and we will leave to make our way towards Florida to Mia, Kai, and Aria and they will get to meet Luca for the first time 😭. God is so good, I’m so overwhelmed, I don’t think I’ll stop crying for weeks, we love you all and appreciate you all so much. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for being here 🥹.
