@melrobbins en su libro “La regla de los 5 segundos” explica que la mente humana no está diseñada para ponernos en situaciones incómodas, incorporar nuevos hábitos o realizar actividades nuevas, sino que su trabajo es mantenernos a salvo por el mero instinto de supervivencia. Cada que queremos tomar una decisión, nuestra mente hará una evaluación y buscará realizar lo que le requiera menos esfuerzo, sea más cómodo o le haga sufrir menos y si no somos conscientes de ello, por default elegirá comodidad, causando que te auto sabotees constantemente. La regla de los 5 segundos consiste en que cada vez que quieras realizar una nueva actividad, o realizar algo incómodo, en el momento que escuches la voz de la resistencia queriendo impedir que tomes acción, tú simplemente cuentes en forma regresiva: 5, 4, 3, 2, 1 y boom 💥 tomes acción. Es una manera sencilla pero efectiva de engañar a tu mente y romper ese momento de duda.
