When it comes to two toning buttercream there are two ways in which I do it. First, I line the bag up with one colour and then add in the main colour. I mainly do this for buttercream flowers as I often only need a small amount and find this easier with less waste. This is the technique you will see me use most often. However, if I need to decorate a cake, I will mainly use the cling film method. This is where you line up your colours on cling film, turn it into a sausage ☺️ and place it in a piping bag. This video will show you this technique. This is a great way if you have a lot of icing to do as you can work with more buttercream in your bag and will save time having to re-load your bag if doing the first technique. Replying to @A The rose can be piped in various sizes but the basics are the same. Here is the technique: Start in the centre, squeezing your icing and without releasing pressure, move it slightly to the side and in a circular motion, pipe a tight circle around the centre moving out towards the edge. Stop squeezing right before the end and pull away. This video will show you different sizes.
