This series is designed for us all to get a little bit excited in the lead-up to the festival season. THE BREAKFAST BAGUETTE The destroyer of hangovers, the filler of bellies - this breakfast item keeps the most hardiest of festival-goers fuelled up, ready to spend the day moshing and drinking their weight in warm Strongbow Dark Fruits. After waking up from 2 hours of sleep, the smell of dirty cooking oil and the sound of diesel generators give you enough enthusiasm to head over to the toilet block. Succeeding in wading through thousands of people’s fecal matter, it’s time to eat some breakfast. This food item is not about quality; it’s all about quantity. You’re going to be parting with the best part of £10 quid, so you will get the fried onions, even though they grossly overpower every other ingredient. Only these food vendors have normalized eating onions before 12 PM. Forget your single-origin oat milk latte; it’s all about the cash-and-carry cheap instant coffee, topped with 5 sugars to make the horrendous taste bearable. It’s stirred together with the crusty communal spoon that hasn’t been washed all festival. In the vain attempt to get your money’s worth, you will lather on all the sauce, even though burger sauce certainly doesn’t go with fried egg.
