The most important part you can take away from this video is the elbow movement. It is the most common mistake I have seen happen on this exercise and most other curling exercises. People tend to bring their elbows upfront shifting the weight from the biceps to the front shoulder. Make sure you keep your back as stationary as possible if that is something that is too hard you can always try back supported bicep curls. Find a sturdy wall place your back firmly against it. 🛑 STOP curling too high like this, where your forearm is perpendicular to the floor since there is little tension at the top of the movement when your arm is in this position. Instead, curl the weight up until your arms are about 20-30 degrees away from perpendicular to keep the tension on the biceps. First, the seated dumbbell bicep curl on the lat Pulldown machine, using the knee pad for support. Second, behind the head curls again on the lat Pulldown machine to emphasize the outter biceps. Third, high-to-low cable curls also for outter biceps. This exercise puts the biceps in the greatest stretch position for maximum biceps growth. Last, squatting cable curls to target the inner biceps. Underhand close grip pulldowns: the best bicep exercise? No, not even close… its a decent back exercise. But for biceps, any curl variation will be much better at actually building your biceps. One Arm Stronger Than The Other? Dumbbell curls (such as the variation above) are a great way to allow that weaker bicep to “catch up”. And that really goes for all unilateral (one sided) exercises.
