🌟 Important message alert! 🌟 Let's talk about the challenges disabled individuals face when it comes to employment. It's crucial that everyone understands that disabled people want to work and contribute to society. We've been consistently advocating for our needs to the government, emphasising the importance of access. To be able to work, we require job opportunities that are tailored to accommodate our illnesses and disabilities. It's imperative that the Access to Work fund, which is meant to support us, is made truly accessible. Unfortunately, the government has been unresponsive to our pleas, hindering our progress. What's even more disheartening is that instead of addressing the issue, the government tends to shift blame onto us in the public eye. They make us the scapegoat and create a narrative that stigmatises us. This not only affects how we are perceived but also gives permission to society to follow suit. It's time to challenge this ableism and stigma. We deserve equal opportunities, understanding, and support. Let's stand together, raise awareness, and push for change. By working together, we can create a society where all individuals, regardless of their abilities, can thrive in the workforce. #DisabilityRights #EqualOpportunities #TogetherWeCan #Abelism #Abelist #EndAbleism #Benefits #Disabled #Disability #CapCut
