Take it from a former man-hater who went to therapy, did some healing, and had to face down some of my own toxic traits. Those traits were born from pain and trauma that were put there by men. I am not responsible for the things those men did to put them there. But I am responsible for healing from them. There is some toxicity in feminist circles that we need to confront. YES we are all absolutely pissing angry. Yes we are outraged by the way misogyny and the “manosphere” seem to multiply every day. But alienating potential allies with cathartic but dehumanizing phrases like “all men are trash” doesn’t help us or them. I am ready for both misogynists and feminists to hate this post. This shouldn’t be a controversial opinion, but I know it will be anyway. I ask that you set aside the defensiveness and try to see the bigger picture. I had to do this.
