🌸The DC cherry blossoms have been blooming here since 1912, but efforts to have them planted can be traced back to 1885. The first round that was brought over unfortunately had to be burned due to being infested with insects and disease. But the second round proved to be a success! What a day we had with the dogs yesterday! We got to take the dogs to Washington DC, during the Cherry Blossom Bloom! Now we knew that the Cherry Blossoms were a big deal in DC, but we thought we were far to early to be able to see any of it. Everyone who came to see us at the Expo was telling us we had to go see the flowers! So we had Monday to sight see, and we took the dogs to DC to have some fun, and oh my goodness, it was amazing! Yes there were a lot of people, and there is a lot of noise in a busy city, but the dogs did amazing! We hiked almost 10 miles, and YES, even Memphis did it! The dogs saw the White House! I will post more photos later. What a fun way to round out the trip!
