BLACK CHOCOLATE GANACHE If you ever make a Black colored cake, covering it with a Chocolate Ganache is a great option. When working with a ganache, I find that working with the cold/frozen cakes is usually the best route because it will set up faster. And when you go to freeze again after decorating, there is a very low chance that it will have any condensation happen. (Which is really nice especially going into the warm summer). To make the black ganache, I made my semi sweet chocolate ganache, and let it cool off for about an hour. I also put it into the fridge to cool it just a bit more before using. I transferred the amount to a liquid measuring cup and used @Chefmaster “Coal Black” color. Mix well until combined. I always recommend starting with 3-4 drops and building up the color if needed. Chocolate Ganache INGREDIENTS: 1 Cup Heavy Cream 1.5 Cups Semi Sweet Chocolate 1 Tsp Vanilla extract 4-5 drops black color INSTRUCTIONS: 1. Boil the Heavy Cream in a small sauce pan 2. Once boiling, remove from heat. 3. Put your chocolate In a heat safe bowl or glass measuring cup. 4. Pour the hot heavy cream over the chocolate. 5. Mix until fully incorporated. (Should take 3-5 minutes). Now thag you’ve seen it applied on a cake, I will be posting the fun style I used for the very tall and wide cake. To make this size of cake I used: 12” W x 3” H. We made 3 full 12” Cakes. Trim each in half and the put in freezer. Once cakes were all set and very cold/frozen and filled. Apply your first layer of ganache on. Take back to freezer for 10-15 minutes, and then bring back to turn table and apply final layer of the jet black chocolate ganache. It turns out absolutely beautiful. I got an email from a bride asking if I’d paint several loaves of sourdough for her wedding. She wanted to have a table arrayed with painted sourdough loaves… my heart kind of skipped a beat thinking about the opportunity, but I quickly remembered how this is purely a hobby of mine and not a source of income. As an artist, I paint and draw flowers with the intent of selling somehow; however, when I paint on sourdough it’s purely for my enjoyment and relaxation believe it or not 😅 I don’t have to worry about a customer’s satisfaction over the product, just my own. PARMESAN CRUSTED CABBAGE SLICES! They taste freaking DELICIOUS! I suggest parchment paper, unless your sheet pans are very nonstick reliable. I tested with two pans. • Ingredients: 1 small/medium cabbage, cut into 1/2 inch half moon slices (about 6 slices) 2 1/2 cups freshly grated Parmesan cheese 4-5 tbsp olive oil, plus more for the other side 1 1/2 tbsp Italian seasoning Chopped fresh parsley, optional Chopped pepitas, optional 1️⃣Preheat the oven to 400. Line a sheet pan with parchment paper (or use a NONSTICK sheet pan)2️⃣Add the Parmesan to the sheet pan, then add the seasoning and the oil. Mix together to make a paste. Divide into 5-6 equal sized portions and flatten to create a a half moon shape (large enough for each cabbage slice). Place the cabbage slices on top of the Parmesan mixtures. *SPREAD OUT* Drizzle the tops with a little more oil and seasoning. 3️⃣Place the cabbage in the oven for 16-19 minutes, until all the edges of the cheese are brown. 4️⃣Remove the cabbage from the oven, allow it to cool for a couple of minutes, then carefully lift the edges of the cheese and use a spatula to flip the slices over. CRISPY ROASTED GARLIC-HONEY BUTTER HASSELBACK POTATOES! Gosh these are too good! • For the garlic: 1 head garlic, top sliced off Olive oil Salt Pepper • For the potatoes: 5 medium gold potatoes, washed Olive oil Salt • For the butter: 3 tbsp unsalted butter, melted 1 tbsp fresh thyme 1/2 tsp salt Roasted garlic (from above) 1 1/2 tbsp honey 1/2 tsp paprika • Optional for serving: Sour cream (mixed with chives) Chopped fresh cilantro Toasted pine nuts • 1️⃣Preheat the oven to 400. Line a sheet pan with parchment paper and set aside.2️⃣Make the garlic. Add the garlic to a piece of parchment paper, drizzle the cut part with olive oil and season with salt and pepper. Wrap the head of garlic in the parchment and place in the oven for 30-35 minutes, or longer if needed. 3️⃣Prep the potatoes. Use chopsticks on either side of your potatoes, then thinly slice small slices all the way down the potatoes. Carefully cut almost all the way through without actually cutting them through. Place the potatoes on the sheet pan, drizzle with olive oil and season with salt and pepper. Place in the oven for 50 minutes. 4️⃣When the garlic is done, make the butter. Iif you're looking for a fun Easter appetizer, you should give these Deviled Eggs a try🥚 I usually just use a mini cookie scoop for the filling, so maybe do that unless you're better at filling a piping bag than I am🥹 Recipe below! DEVILED EGGS Ingredients: eggs mayo yellow mustard dijon mustard** one of the most important ingredients! dill pickle mustard (not necessary it was just something fun i found!) dill pickle relish salt pepper paprika (inside & on top) dash of chili powder splash of jalapeno juice splash of apple cider vinegar I don’t have exact measurements of things because it depends on how many eggs you boil! I prefer to put less of all the ingredients in to start with so you can add to your liking! boil eggs in pot with a dash of apple cider vinegar (or use a fun little egg cooker like me— I LOVE mine its so simple and the eggs are ALWAYS perfect) once eggs are done, put eggs into an ice bath for a few minutes peel eggs & slice them in half put yolks in a bowl & whites on a tray add all ingredients & mix use either an icing bag or an extra small cookie scoop to fill your egg whites with the prepared yolks sprinkle paprika on top & serve! This cake has been my most requested cake for orders, as well as most requested for the recipe, for the past 2 years. Ever since I started making this flavor, I knew I had something special going with it. And so after 2 years of working with this recipe, I have finally decided it is good enough to share with you! This cake is made with my super delicious and moist Vanilla Cake layers. Filled with Biscoff Cookie Butter, White Chocolate Ganache, Biscoff Buttercream and Biscoff Cookie Crumbs. After filling the cake, I crumb coat the cake with the extra White Chocolate Ganache. Freeze the cake with crumb coat for 30+ minutes. After crumb coat has set, I will cover the cake with the Biscoff Buttercream. Cover the base with Biscoff Cookie Crumbs. Freeze the cake with crumb coat for 30+ minutes. After crumb coat has set, I will cover the cake with the Biscoff Buttercream. Cover the base with Biscoff Cookie Crumbs. Apply a Biscoff Cookie Butter Drip. Then place in freezer again for 15-30 minutes Once cake is cold and drip has set, apply rosettes to the top of the cake with a Wilton 1M piping tip and the Biscoff Cookie Buttercream. And for the final effect, I break Biscoff Cookies in between each rosette. SWEET POTATO BOATS WITH PECAN-FETA-DATE CRUMBLE! Using my favorite crumble ever & topping off these sweet potato boats for the most epic side dish! Perfect for the holiday 🫶 • For the crumble: 1/2 cup raw pecans 5-6 dates 2 oz feta cheese Handful arugula 1/2 tsp salt 1/2 tsp pepper Zest of 1/2 lemon • For the sweet potatoes: 4 medium sweet potatoes, halved Olive oil Salt • Optional tahini-balsamic: 2 tbsp tahini 1 tsp maple syrup 1 tsp balsamic vinegar Pinch salt 1 tbsp water *whisk to combine* • 1️⃣ Preheat the oven to 425.2️⃣Drizzle olive oil on the bottom of a large sheet pan, season with salt and place the sweet potatoes face down. Drizzle the tops with the oil and season with salt. Place in the oven for about 35 minutes, removing them from the oven at about 25 minutes. Flip them, move them to one side, then add the pecans to one side of the baking sheet and bake for 5 minutes. Remove the pecans from the sheet pan and allow the sweet potatoes to cook until tender. 5️⃣While the sweet potatoes roast, make the crumble. Add the pecans and begin to chop them, then add the dates and do the same. Continue to add the feta and arugula, chopping after each ingredient is added. Add the salt, pepper and lemon zest and chop until the mixture is combined and a “crumble” is created. 6️⃣Place the sweet potatoes on a plate, gently press down on each with a fork. This cake has been my most requested cake for orders, as well as most requested for the recipe, for the past 2 years. Ever since I started making this flavor, I knew I had something special going with it. And so after 2 years of working with this recipe, I have finally decided it is good enough to share with you! This cake is made with my super delicious and moist Vanilla Cake layers. Filled with Biscoff Cookie Butter, White Chocolate Ganache, Biscoff Buttercream and Biscoff Cookie Crumbs. After filling the cake, I crumb coat the cake with the extra White Chocolate Ganache. Freeze the cake with crumb coat for 30+ minutes. After crumb coat has set, I will cover the cake with the Biscoff Buttercream. Cover the base with Biscoff Cookie Crumbs. Freeze the cake with crumb coat for 30+ minutes. After crumb coat has set, I will cover the cake with the Biscoff Buttercream. Cover the base with Biscoff Cookie Crumbs. Apply a Biscoff Cookie Butter Drip. Then place in freezer again for 15-30 minutes Once cake is cold and drip has set, apply rosettes to the top of the cake with a Wilton 1M piping tip and the Biscoff Cookie Buttercream. And for the final effect, I break Biscoff Cookies in between each rosette. SWEET POTATO BOATS WITH PECAN-FETA-DATE CRUMBLE! Using my favorite crumble ever & topping off these sweet potato boats for the most epic side dish! Perfect for the holiday 🫶 • For the crumble: 1/2 cup raw pecans 5-6 dates 2 oz feta cheese Handful arugula 1/2 tsp salt 1/2 tsp pepper Zest of 1/2 lemon • For the sweet potatoes: 4 medium sweet potatoes, halved Olive oil Salt • Optional tahini-balsamic: 2 tbsp tahini 1 tsp maple syrup 1 tsp balsamic vinegar Pinch salt 1 tbsp water *whisk to combine* • 1️⃣ Preheat the oven to 425.2️⃣Drizzle olive oil on the bottom of a large sheet pan, season with salt and place the sweet potatoes face down. Drizzle the tops with the oil and season with salt. Place in the oven for about 35 minutes, removing them from the oven at about 25 minutes. Flip them, move them to one side, then add the pecans to one side of the baking sheet and bake for 5 minutes. Remove the pecans from the sheet pan and allow the sweet potatoes to cook until tender. 5️⃣While the sweet potatoes roast, make the crumble. Add the pecans and begin to chop them, then add the dates and do the same. Continue to add the feta and arugula, chopping after each ingredient is added. Add the salt, pepper and lemon zest and chop until the mixture is combined and a “crumble” is created. 6️⃣Place the sweet potatoes on a plate, gently press down on each with a fork. SWEETS & BEETS SALAD WITH LEMON-FETA DRESSING! The perfect winter salad 🤤 • For the sweet potatoes and beets: ¾ lb. beets, trimmed/peeled/sliced into 6 pieces 2 medium sweet potatoes, peeled, halved then sliced into thirds 3 tbsp olive oil, divided 1 tsp salt, divided 1 tsp paprika 1 tsp dried thyme • For the dressing: ½ cup feta cheese 2 tbsp olive oil 1 tbsp lemon juice 1/2 tbsp honey 1 tsp lemon zest Fresh black pepper to taste • For the salad: 1 15-oz can white beans 1/2 cup chopped cilantro 1/2 cup chopped parsley 1/2 cup sunflower seeds • 1️⃣Preheat the oven to 425. Line a sheet pan with parchment paper. 2️⃣Add the sweet potatoes and beets to the sheet pan, placing them on separate sides. Drizzle with the olive oil then season with the salt, paprika and thyme. Toss each veggie separately then place in the oven for 35-40 minutes, until tender. 3️⃣While they roast, make the dressing. Add the feta, olive oil, lemon juice, honey, lemon zest and pepper to a small bowl. Mix to combine and set aside. 4️⃣Make the salad. Add the veggies, white beans, cilantro, parsley, sunflower seeds and dressing to a medium bowl. CRISPY BRUSSELS & CHICKPEA SALAD WITH CREAMY CASHEW WHIP! Legit, so so satisfying! • For the brussels: 1 1/2 lb brussels, trimmed/halved (divided) 5 tbsp olive oil, divided 1/2 tsp salt 1/2 tsp garlic powder 1/2 tsp paprika 1 tbsp maple syrup • For the chickpeas: 1 15 oz can chickpeas, rinsed and drained 1 tbsp olive oil 1/2 tsp salt 1/2 tsp garlic powder 1/2 tsp paprika • For the cashew whip: 1 cup raw cashews 5 tbsp boiling water 1 tsp maple syrup 1/2 tsp lemon juice 1/4 tsp salt (or more to taste) 1/4 tsp garlic powder 1/2 tsp cumin 1/4 tsp pepper • For serving: 1/2 cup halved grapes Chopped parsley, optional Pepper, optional • 1️⃣Preheat oven to 450. Place a sheet pan in the oven while it preheats.2️⃣Make the chickpeas. Add the dried chickpeas to a separate sheet pan and dry roast them for 8 minutes, then remove from the oven and add the oil and spices. Toss to coat and roast another 8-10 minutes. 3️⃣Add the halved brussels sprouts, olive oil, salt, garlic powder, paprika & maple syrup to a bowl. Toss to coat. Remove the sheet pan from the oven & add the remaining olive oil to the pan, then the brussels sprouts face down. Place in the oven for 30 minutes, flipping halfway. 4️⃣While the brussels roast, make the cashew whip. Add all ingredients to a high speed blender and blend until smooth. 5️⃣Assemble the dish. The tastiest little bites 😊 • Sweet potatoes: 2 medium sweet potatoes, sliced into 1/2 inch rounds Olive oil Salt • Topping: 1/2 cup toasted walnuts 1/4 cup baby spinach 1/2 cup dried cranberries 1/4 tsp salt Pepper to taste 3 tbsp honey 1/2 tsp orange zest • Ricotta: 3/4 cup ricotta cheese 1/4 cup blue cheese crumbles • 1️⃣Preheat the oven to 425. 2️⃣Drizzle the sheet pan with olive oil, then brush it to coat. Sprinkle the sheet pan with salt. Spread the sweet potatoes onto a sheet pan and brush the tops with olive oil and season with salt. Place the sheet pan in the oven for 20-25 minutes, flipping halfway. 3️⃣While the sweet potatoes roast, make the topping. Add the walnuts to a cutting board and chop, then add the spinach and cranberries and chop everything together. Place the mixture into a bowl, add the salt, pepper, zest and honey. Mix together to coat.4️⃣Add the ricotta and the blue cheese to a separate bowl. Goulash: In a pot add 1tbsp olive oil, 1c diced onions, and 2lb ground beef. Cook until beef is browned. Add 2 cans tomato sauce, 2 cans diced tomatoes, 3tsp minced garlic, 3c beef broth, 3tbsp italian seasoning, 2tsp salt, 2tbsp Worcestershire sauce, 3 bay leaves, and 2c uncooked macaroni.
