🎈EARLY ROLL TO TUMMY TIME🎈 A great habit to get into is to roll your baby around slowly and practice tummy time after diaper changes. 🔸Put your baby’s lower arm out at about 90° (elbow can be bent). 🔸Roll your baby slowly and gently from the hip. 🔸Position your baby’s arms so that the elbows are below or slightly behind the shoulders (< 3 months) or slightly in front of the shoulders (> 3 months). 🔸Create a “wall” with your hands when your baby’s arms are positioned if your baby is able to hold their arms in place on their own. 🔸Then wait patiently for the head lift. If your baby is younger than 4 weeks, it’s also good tummy time if he/she just rests the head in the tummy-lying position. This changing table habit will then just get your baby used to the position, which is also an important learning experience.
