Praise be to Allah. Hz. Abdullah bin Umar has narrated from his father Hazrat Umar Faruq; I was sitting with the Prophet on one of the hills of Tahama when an old man presented himself in front of the Prophet Muhammed (saws) and saluted him. The Prophet answered and said, Your voice and accent seem to be those of the jinn. He answered, I am Hama bin [son of] Him bin Laqis bin Iblis. The Prophet asked, What is your age? He answered, At the time when Qabil killed Habil I was 43 years old. In the age of Noah l used to live with Muslims in a mosque... I had told Nuh that I was a part of the gathering of the killers of Habil bin Adam. I desire God's forgiveness. Will God accept my repentance? Noah said, God is forgiving and merciful. I was with Yusuf [Joseph] in the place of his captivity. I used to meet Ilyas [Elijah] in the wilderness, and I still meet with llyas [on occasion]. I have seen Musa [Moses] too. He educated me in the books of the Old Testament and told me that when you meet Isa Ibn Maryam give him my regards. I conveyed Musa's greetings to Isa. Finally, I embraced Iman of Jesus and he taught me about the Gospel. Isa told me that when you meet Muhammad you should convey my greetings to him and said that holy Prophet (pbuh) will come as the last Messenger of God to this world, you will be alive at that time and you will get a chance to meet him. It is the narrator's statement that when he heard this, The Prophet Muhammed (pbuh) started crying and said, 'May salutations keep reaching Isa, and till the world exists. O Hama, may there be peace upon you. You have fulfilled what was entrusted to you.' Hama embraced Islam and the prophet taught him ten chapters of Holy Quran. There are many types of Jinns according to Islam and one of them is Jinn Al Kaboos/Jathuum which attacks you during sleeping and causes sleep paralysis (medical science). If you are asleep and feel that you are getting suffocated and someone or something is being pushed on you which is not allowing you to breathe and then all of a sudden you wake up trying to catch up your breath, then you have been attacked by Jinn Al-Kaboos. Medical science has claimed that such a phenomenon is known as "sleep paralysis", while Islamic scholars claim it is an attack by Jinns. Whether it is Jinn Al Kaboos as per Islam or sleep paralysis as per medical science, this feeling is quite frightening and you should seek spiritual or medical help. We should not forget the fact that the Holy Quran and Hadith were not revealed to give us knowledge about the types of Jinn. There are special people, studies, and knowledge centers related to Jinns. If the Quran and Hadith do not contradict these studies, they are believed to be true. Offer all the obligatory prayer (salah) 3. Clean and dust the bed before sleeping on it. 4. Recite SubhanAllah 33 times. 5. Recite Alhamdulilah 33 times. 6. Recite AllahuAkbar 34 times. 7. Narrated by Abdur Rahman: "I asked Nasrud, who informed the Prophet about the jinns at the night when they heard the Quran?' He said. 'Your father Abdullah informed me that a tree informed the Prophet about them. (Authentic hadith [Sahih Bukhari] Volume 5 - Book 58 - Number 199) Another ahadiths which proves that trees can talk and have emotions; Jabir (ra) said: There was a trunk of a date-palm tree upon which the Prophet (saws) used to recline while delivering Khutbah (sermon) on Friday. When a pulpit was placed in the mosque, we heard the trunk crying out like a pregnant she-camel. the Prophet (pbuh) came down from the pulpit and put his hand on the trunk and it became quiet. Then he (pbuh) said, "It was crying for (missing) what it used to hear of religious knowledge given near to it." (Sahih al-Bukhari 3584 or Book 61, Hadith 93) During the Final Battle between the Muslims and the Jews, led by the Dajjal (False Messiah) and killed by Isa (Jesus), the prophet (saws) said: "The Jews will fight you and you will prevail over them, then a tree will say: 'O Muslim, here is a Jew behind me; kill him, except the ghargad (a thorny tree), for it is one of the trees of the Jews." (Saheen Muslim 2922) According to some of my old Islamic studies teachers, all Jews grow that tree in their back yards. Say: "It has been revealed to me that a band of the jinn listened and said, 'We have heard a most amazing Recitation. It leads to right guidance so we believe in it and will not associate anyone with our Lord.'" (Surah al-Jinn: 1-2) In that same Surah, Allah also reveals that some Jinn are actually Muslims; [The Jinn said]: "And when we heard the guidance, we believed in it. Anyone who believes in his Lord need fear neither belittlement nor tyranny. Some of us are Muslims and some are deviators. Those who have become Muslim are those who sought right guidance. The Messenger of Allah (pbuh) said: 'If you hear the barking of a dog or the braying of a donkey, then seek refuge with Allah, for they see that which you do not see." A hadith in Bukhari states specifically that what the dogs and donkeys see are the devils among the Jinn. To be protected from that which can see you while you cannot see it, invoke the help of the One Who can see it but cannot be seen by it - Allah (subhana wa ta'ala). Some of the Jinn fear the Wolf, not all of them. They do vary in their courage, strength and speed. The Wolf has two characteristics. the first one is if the Wolf sees a Jinn his sight will be focused and still on that Jinn and the wolf will not divert his sight from him. When he does that the jinn will be mesmerized and can not move. this is the secret of the spirits they are restricted by vision. Therefore when a person sees a Jinn, the Jinn will try to avoid letting the human to stand still his vision on him because he will be restricted from moving, at this moment the jinn will try to create an imaginary shape showing the human that he is moving and when the human follows him in his vision he will disappear because he is not anymore restricted by the human vision but if you did not fall for that trick and kept looking at the first place you saw the Jinn, he will be still standing there paralyzed by your vision. the second situation is, if the Jinn materializes in the shape of human as flesh and blood and you looked at him and felt that he is Jinn you put your foot in the same place that his foot was, he will be mesmerised, freezes in his place and can not move. The wolf knows these two facts and seeks these two advantages when he chase the Jinn. He keeps his vision focussed on the Jinn and he puts his foot in the same place where the jinn was standing in order to freezes the jinn and preventing him from running away and if he don't do that then the jinn will run away as he is faster than the Wolf.
