We are so pleased to be sponsored once again by Downy, this time to announce the fragrance-free version of their groundbreaking “Rinse & Refresh” product line. This is a favorite laundry product of mine! Even with a high-quality laundry detergent, odors can still linger on our clothes. Sometimes we might not use enough detergent, or maybe we pack our loads too large and clothes can’t get as clean as we’d like. I am positive that - like me - you’ve checked a recently laundered item from time to time and noticed that they occasionally still smell! To get rid of lingering odors, sometimes we need a clarifying rinse for our clothes just the way we do for our skin, or hair. With Downy Rinse & Refresh, I use my normal laundry detergent and then pour Rinse & Refresh directly into the fabric softener drawer (or you can add it during the rinse cycle if you don’t have a fabric softener drawer!). You can use as little or as much of the Rinse & Refresh product as you’d like (I promise, just try it, you can't mess it up). I have used it on clothes that I’ve left in the washer overnight and the next day, they STILL smell great. When my girls get extra messy or we have doggie accidents (bless her heart, Sammy dog is getting old so sometimes they happen!) I always use Rinse & Refresh to fully remove odors. The benefits of the new FRAGRANCE FREE version of Rinse & Refresh (Free & Gentle): ⚪️Gentle on sensitive skin. ⚪️Great for when you don’t want fragrance from scent beads or a scented laundry detergent to compete with your Rinse product ⚪️Great for when you simply don’t want ANY fragrance on your clothes And if you love fabric softener, do not despair! You can still use it. Just alternate and use Rinse & Refresh after a few loads, in place of fabric softener. The Rinse & Refresh will remove odor & residue so you can still get the softness you love from your fabric softener the next time you use it! If you try it, let me know what you think. #ad #cleantok #sensitiveskin #laundrytips #downypartner

Time to wash the duvets before cosy season begins☁️🫶🏻 Even our superking size duvet fits in the machine using this method!😉 This is how we used to fold duvets when I worked in M&S and it is the easiest way to actually get it into the drum of the washing machine. Tips for machine washing a duvet: ✔️Use a delicate, gentle cycle and a slow spin speed. ✔️Add an extra spin cycle to help the duvet dry faster. ✔️Replace fabric conditioner with white vinegar to keep it fluffy and remove any musty odours. ✔️Tumble dry the duvet if possible using a low heat setting for the fluffiest results. ✔️Ensure the duvet is fully dry before putting the duvet cover back on. ✔️Always read the care label before machine washing a duvet. #deepcleaning #laundryhacks #lauracleanaholic #cleaningmotivation #laundrytips #duvetcoverhack

Replying to @sazzorak This is a dry cleaners guide to removing old yellow stains that usually show up at the underarm and collar of white tee shirts. Here is what you need: Dish soap, all purpose stain remover, hydrogen peroxide OR powdered oxygen bleach, and some patience 1) Pretreat the soiled areas with warm water and dish soap (1 cup to 1 drop of dish soap) 2) Pretreat the soiled areas with your stain removing spray. Let it sit for an hour if you can. 3) Wash as recommended by the care label. 4) Spray 3% HP on the entire garment and let it air dry OR 5) Soak the garment in hot water and powdered oxygen bleach overnight 6) Rewash Oxygen bleach is also known as color safe bleach or non chlorine bleach. It takes lots of time to work so be patient! I do hope this guide helps, happy cleaning 😊 #yellowstains #stain #sweatstain #collarstain #laundry #laundryhacks #laundrytips #stainremoval

Replying to @Buzyz This is a 4th generation dry cleaner's guide to make fleece and sherpa soft again. Basically, you need a depilling comb to break up the little peaks / groups that have formed on the fleece. Overtime, the barbs on the fibers get tangled up, you need to comb them out just like you would your hair. The depilling combs in the video are: uproot, restora, and gleener (my favorite because it has a lint brush attached). Just go easy on your garment, every time you comb you remove fibers! Good luck and happy cleaning :) #fleece #sherpa #makefleecesoft #makesherpasoft #laundry #laundrytips #lifehack

Do you always dread laundry day? 🧺 My laundry used to take all day (sometimes 2 days) to dry on our traditional airer - now it’s dry in around 3 hours since I’ve been using the Dry:Soon Deluxe 3 tier Heated Airer from Lakeland! I’ve been able to get so much laundry washed and dried in no time! It’s also a great alternative for a tumble drier as it saves money and energy as it only costs pennies to run! It’s much kinder to your clothes than tumble drying and folds away flat making it much more space efficient! 🙌🏼 This is the 15th year of Dry:Soon and I can see why it is so popular. You can find the link in my bio 🥰 #laundrytok #laundryhack #laundrytip #laundrytips #xmasfood #mumhack#mumlife #cleantok #cleantok101 #cleantoks #cosycleaningclub #tidyhome #cleanhome #mrshinchhome #mrshinchmademedoit #cleanhometips #speedclean #speedcleaning #satisfyingcleaning #satisfyingclean #cleaningproducts #cleaningtipsandtricks #cleaningcreator #cleaningcreatorsconnect #fyp #cleantokuk #cleaninghacks

Here are the top performing laundry detergents of 2024: 1) Tide Hygienic Pods 2) Laundry Sauce (pods) 3) Persil Liquid These results were identified through the use of the AISE Laundry Detergent Testing Guidelines V7. More on my process to come. Not much of a surprise to see pods as two of the three top performers. Pods are the most concentrated form of detergent which means less water which means more performance! My recommendation is Persil liquid or Tide Hygienic (but swap the pods for liquid so you can dose appropriately). Other notables include: Ariel Liquid, Ingredients Matters, Tide Pods, Persil Pods, All Pods, Tide Evo Tile and Kirklkand liquid. Disappointments include: laundry detergent sheets as a whole category, Mozi Wash, Arm & Hammer, Branch Basics, Dr. Bronners, Purex, Nellie's, and Molly's Suds. Let me know what products you want tested in the new year! #laundry #laundrydetergent #productreviews #laundryreviews #detergentreviews #whatisthebestlaundrydetergent #detergentsranked #science #explained #laundryhacks #laundrytips #cleaningtips #drycleaning

[AD] I’ve been asked to show how on earth i wash my sheers, so here it is! Mine are machine washable, and it’s super important to use a gentle product because they’re so delicate. I love @ecostore 3X Concentrate Laundry liquid because it’s earth friendly, super effective, and makes my laundry sparkle every time. #ecostorenz #sheers #washingtiktok #laundrytok #laundrytips #laundrytiktok #laundryhack #laundryday #deepclean #deepcleanwithme #deepcleantok #cleaningtiktok #cleanwithme #satisfying #satisfyingcleans #nztiktok #nzmum #newzealandtiktok

Replying to @Buzyz It seems like every time I rinse a stain in a video I get a comment along the lines of, “Make sure to rinse in cold water or else it’ll set the stain”! I too was taught this lesson when it came to laundry as even most of the dry cleaners out there have heard of this ‘rule’. However, after doing a few hundred laundry detergent tests with cold, warm, and hot water, I wasn’t sure if it was correct. To find out if this laundry urban legend was true or not, I decided to test it. To do this I stained 4 cotton swatches with pig’s blood, grass, olive oil with turmeric, and tomato sauce. I let these swatches dry overnight before testing. Then I washed AND rinsed one in cold water, washed and rinsed another in hot water, pretreated one to ensure the stains were actually removed, and then DRIED a swatch in the tumble dryer for 20 minutes and then washed on warm. Turns out that hot water DOES NOT set stains, but HOT AIR does. This is likely because the hot hair is removing moisture from a stain. Anyways, this is GOOD NEWS!!! I hope you found this useful #mythbusting #laundry #laundrytips #STEM #mythbuster #urbanlegend #explained
