We all hear the great things about airport dads, right? Well, call me an airport mom!🤣 At first, I thought I was missing out on something because it seemed like everyone was married to an airport dad but me.🫣 I know, don’t judge me. But that’s when I had to realize that @antwanhenry_ and I marriage work because we operate in our natural gifts and strengths. We always joke that I am the CEO of The Henry Family and Antwan is the COO. I work on the long term planning and vision while my husband works on the daily operations while implementing strategies. I promise you, we had to learn this from trial and error after bumping heads for years. But we got it now! Lol😅 Traveling is one of my strongest attributes. I kind of breathe travel in a sense. It’s probably because I love finding deals and saving money. I searched and found some great nonstop flights from Fort Lauderdale to Guatemala City for my large family of 9 for just under $415 one way! I typically find it more cost effective to book my flights no more than 45 days before departure and now that all of our children are homeschooled we have more flexibility within our travel window. I should also note that we have 2 lap infants so that’s the cost for 7 paid travelers. The reasoning behind getting one way tickets is because I always like to fly to nearby countries it’s so inexpensive. For example, after we spend a week in Guatemala City we’re flying 45 mins to El Salvador for just $480. This trip will was cost effective. Let me know if you want me to share more details about it. I know sometimes it’s not possible but I first examine all of my options before I would book a connecting flight for our family of 9. 🥵Sometimes that means driving to different airports in order to get a nonstop flight and yes, I’m always up for this challenge. I figure, it’s way easier to drive and park then risk the hassle of running to different terminals with 7 children in tow. For example, we drove 4 hours from Jacksonville to Fort Lauderdale to catch a nonstop 2 hour flight to Guatemala City. Now that sounds more like it right? As @American Express Business Platinum card holders we get complimentary Priority Pass Membership which grants us access to 1,400+ lounges worldwide. You must enroll in Priority Pass Select on Amex's website or by calling Platinum Travel Services to gain access. We are allowed two guests per card holder and children under 6 is typically free. Thats how we’re able to enter without paying any extra fees for our large family. Many of the lounges offer a staffed bar, meals, ample nonalcoholic drinks, high-speed Wi-Fi and various seating options just to name a few of the convenient benefits. You'll need to provide a same-day, confirmed boarding pass, your Amex Platinum card and your government-issued identification to gain access.
