Please read and FOLLOW The bench dip One very underrated exercise that can be done almost anywhere. Other than the triceps and chest the shoulders are also targeted. A very efficient upper body exercise. Efficiency comes with a price though and here are some common mistakes and good praxriced that one can follow while performing the bench dip. ❌Improper hand placement: Avoid placing your hands too far apart or too close together. ✅Keep them shoulder-width apart on the edge of the bench, with fingers pointing forward. ❌Incorrect body alignment: Maintain a straight body and neutral spine during bench dips. The Pec Fly ➡️ One of the biggest mistakes people make is limiting their range of motion. Do the following: At the bottom ➡️ The lowest you’ll ever want to go is about as far as you can actively row your arms back - any more is unnecessary. Set the handles just behind this At the top ➡️ Arms straight & hands together. Often times people are only focused on getting the handles to touch, and do so with bent arms. The pecs attach to the Humerus (upper arm bone) So, make sure they’re straight Get in there & get those pecs growing! You’ve got shoulder pain. 😅 You are not alone. You might think you need to go running to the doctor for a diagnosis, but often there are tests you can do right at home to help you figure out what is going on and how to address it. 💯💪 Here are 3 tests you can utilize to help!👇 💥Yocum’s Test: Place one hand on the opposite shoulder and raise your elbow up to your forehead. A positive test would create a pinching pain. This likely indicates impingement or a slap labral tear. 💥Hornblower’s Test: Bring your arm out to the side of your shoulder with a 90 degree bend. Place your opposite hand on the outstretched hand and press down. If that causes pain, that is positive for a rotator cuff issue or injury. 💥O’Brien’s Test: Bring your straight arm up to shoulder height and then bring it across the body. Make a fist and point your thumb downward, now use the opposite hand to press down. As in Yocum’s test, a pinching pain can be positive for impingement or a labral tear.
