Replying to @anmwey_chalmas Why Employers LIE TO YOU In Job Interviews. so many people get lied to in job interviews and I don't disagree that there are certain employers out there that lie. but there are such clear warning signs that they are not a good company to work for. when it's too good to be true it is. when the hiring process is too simple you should run for the hills. you want a company to put you through a few Hoops to show that they are selective. at the same time I see people go into the interviews and they just want the job so badly they don't really pay attention to what's being said. then they get in there and blame the employer and claim they lied. when in reality they just really weren't listening. for the last 20 years I've been trying to solve this by getting job Seekers to step back and figure out exactly what they want in an employer. you need to shop for a job so that when you make your choice you feel fully invested and happy with that choice. that way the time and energy put into the job will be properly reimbursed. if you want to learn more how to do that like and follow me here and keep asking those important questions because together we can help you find the career that you really want and deserve! #jobinterview #interviewtip #interviewtipsandtricks #employers #lies

How to prep for an interview with you Internet Big Sister 🤓 🤫 in job interviews there are all these secret “signals” or “cues” that tell the interviewer you’re a capable professional 🤷🏼♀️ but whether we know it or not, a lot of these micro mannerisms are kinda classist—they’re not taught in school but rather by your community. 💼 for example, if you’re the first person in your family to get a corporate job in America, you might have never learned that you need to bring a hard copy of your resume or the importance of a firm handshake. 🙄 some people might say “well, isn’t this all common sense??” and if you think that, you’re lucky! 🤝 interview etiquette changes between cultures, and since the United States is such a (beautiful) melting pot, not everyone was brough up with the same mannerisms. 👩🏼💼remember: ⏰ always be early (if you’re on time, you’re late) 👔 wear clean, fresh clothes (wrinkle and smudge-free) 👄 always say “please” and “thank you” to everyone! Use others names as much as you can. You got this! 👏🏼 #career #careertiktok #careeradvice #careertok #careermode #edutok #tiktoktaughtme #learnontiktok #corporate #college #internship #resume #coverletter #job #funny #hrtiktok #careercoach #jobinterview #jobinterviewtips #jobinterviewquestions #interviewtips #interviewquestions #genz #millennial #wfh #workfromhome #remotejob #boss #manager #9to5 #interviewprep

When you receive a job offer NEVER accept it on the spot! When I tell people this, I always get these 3 questions. @Anna Papalia For more tips on how to negotiate a job offer, check out my “how to negotiate playlist” #1 What if they lie? -Why would they lie? They just interviewed 50 people and they decidd that you are the person for the job. Why wouldn’t they hear you out and see if they can give you what you want? Also, if what you want is an extra $5k on salary or 10 more days PTO they will do it if they can because they want to fill the position and move on in the same way you want to get a job and stop your job search. #2 What if they say it’s not negotiable? If they say it’s not negotiable then you know you got their best offer and you need to then decide if you can live with that offer. If they won’t or can’t negotiate the ball is now in your court. Take 24 hours to think about it. #3 If try to negotiate or if I ask for more money won’t they just take my offer away? They will only take the offer away if you lie, misrepresent yourself or negotiate unprofessionally. Trust me, if they have made you an offer they want to try to make it work and you would have to do something stupid to get them to take your offer away. For 10 Questions to Ask When you Receive a Job Offer to Get More Money, Get an Interviewology Profile and good luck in your upcoming salary negotiations. #Salarynegotiations #Joboffer #joboffernegotiations #jobInterview #career #salary #negotiate #jobsearch #careeradvice #work #careeradvice #interviewtips #personalfinance
