Ellie’s laugh at the end! 🥹😂 backstory ::: While at a checkup with Ellie’s doctor, we were told that she was excelling with her head support and hitting all of the milestones that she should be at for her age! He also said that if we wanted, we could start doing assisted sitting practices with her! ❤️ Kay was so excited at this news and, just recently, has been practicing with her from time to time after tummy times, not prioritizing it, but trying to give her the ability to practice some! 😂 I walked into one of these sessions and found Kay and Ellie practicing! It is so funny how Ellie will balance for a second and then accept her fate as she falls over without even trying to catch herself. 😂 It’s so funny for us to see, and Ellie seems to enjoy it too. We are so excited for her to be able to sit up on her own! It’s amazing how far she has come in only (almost) 5 months. Night wakings and feedings look like this and then repeated every 2 hours.. but actually every hour bc he be sleeping through the entire process the first hour and is a hungry boy! The sleep deprivation is kicking in this second week after riding a high on the first week. It is absolutely exhausting. But the little coos and smiles in between just melt your heart and make it so worth it! I do have an oversupply so i try not to pump if i can avoid but this night i was super engorged and didn’t want to risk it. Youll notice i slide diapers under my babe. I try to do this method as often as i can to protect his spine so hes not constantly being lifted. I also have multiple bottles of milk in the fridge because i combine my fresh milk with the cold milk once it is chilled to avoid spoilage. Currently we dont use a bottle so i wake my husband to burp and swaddle so i can get back to resting. Then Kay realized that we still hadn’t gotten a gift for the birthday girl, so we now have to go hurry and find something before the party.
