I had the privilege of conducting an HIV education session at the Trans Day of Health and Beauty, organized by the Queer Center and Trans Spectrum of Arizona - TSAZ. Alongside Dave Watt and Your Health and Wellness , I demonstrated three rapid HIV tests. My aim was to alleviate people's anxieties about testing. Often, fear of the unknown holds us back, but witnessing how HIV tests are administered can make a significant difference. For the transgender community, visiting the doctor can be highly stressful, even traumatic. The presence of Your Health and Wellness, an LGBTQ-owned and operated clinic offering free rapid testing, greatly contributed to the success of the event, conducting over 20 tests.I extend my gratitude to the Queer Center and Trans Spectrum of Arizona for allowing me to contribute to this meaningful day.
