There’s a sweet man named Don who is the morning gatekeeper, and he will also help you get photos like this one for a small fee (but you should pay more than he asks because he’s awesome!) He basically spills a small puddle of water on the ground, then does a crazy yoga-ish pose to get all the way down on the floor to angle your phone to get the shot! I saw maybe 20 other hikers on my Everest Basecamp trek….and about 200 animals! Preface: i went before the official season started when it is colder but way less crowded. During high season these trails are PACKED with people!
