So I play alot, but I had a really great tike learning how to cook the traditional way Tanzanian people of the past prepared food. Not for any guy, but for myself, to connect with the culture of East Africa. We made a vegatable Garam Masala curry and white bean fritters. They did try tomplay me like I didnt know how to cook, but Im a girl from the south, Louisiana and Georgia to be exact so I know my way around some deep routed cooking styles. You were patient, kind, loving, intuitive and so silly. If there were shenanigans you were always down to do them with me. From dress up to dance parties, you always gave me a high five and a tail wag. You always looked out for your brother. And would never leave my side through 12 years of some of my hardest times, breakups, health scares, job losses, and tough seasons. You were always happy to say hi to each new day with a smile and a little skip. I was away for work in DC when I got the call you weren’t doing well but I got a chance to tell you I loved you and that you are a good boy over speaker phone. And I didn’t lie you really are a good boy, a great boy. You passed shortly after. Even at the end you waited patiently for me to say goodbye. I’m happy you were snuggled in your Dad’s arms when you passed. National Pet Day is not the same this year and will never be again. Your twin brother misses you and won’t leave his crate. Sometimes he looks for you. The hospital sent over your collar today, I think he smelled your scent and realized you weren’t coming back. Even after 12 years you will always be my puppy Sir “Duke” Ellington or as we call you Duke or Dukey we love and miss you. I hope you are eating all the apples, carrots, and watermelon you want and trying on all your favorite styles, you always slayed a tie. I will never forget you. SHARE! URGENT ATL TRAVEL UPDATE‼️ ⬇️ Do you use public transportation to get to the airport? If you are flying in or out of Atlanta Hartsfield Airport, you need to make sure that you aren’t planning to ride our transit system all the way into the airport! Beginning Monday, April 8 until Sunday, May 19 the train will stop at the College Park station and shuttle you to the North Terminal. It’s recommended you give yourself an extra 30 minutes if you are riding the train in BUT. I suggest everyone flying out of ATL to add on the time. Things can get hectic with new systems and changes at our airport, so delays may be inevitable for everyone. So get to the airport at least 3 hours 30 minutes earlier than your flight! MARTA service will continue to and from Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport via a bus shuttle between College Park Station and the North Terminal Lower Level, downstairs from North Baggage Claim, 22 hours a day, 4 a.m. to 2 a.m. The shuttle will drop you at the North Terminal Lower Level – doors LN1 and LN2 (look for the signs!)
