This tiny area of the cosplay gets a lot of wear and tear and seems to need constant repair. If anyone knows who makes metal versions of these connectors please do let me know. The arms have consistently been the most fragile part of this 3D printed cosplay. I’ve tried the stronger PLA’s, PETG, and still run into this. Being an organic life-form cosplaying as an inorganic droid does come with it’s own interesting challenges. One of which is I am subject to change while my droid is not. Lesson I learned is not to wait till a few days before to start test fittings on old cosplays. The best hack for displaying our 3D Printed Helmets! After trying multiple options for how to display our 3D printed helmets (and even having the heartbreak of damaged helmets when a 3D printed mount failed) we discovered using mountable paper towel holders from Amazon works like a charm!
