You'll never believe what researchers found at the bottom of the Kuril-Kamchatka Trench... microplastic. Around 31,000 ft (or 9,500 meters), samples were collected from the Kuril-Kamchatka Trench. Each sample had microplastic. The deep sea has high biodiversity, meaning a wide variety of marine life! Microplastics could be negatively impacting these ecosystems.
