Once you organize your brain, you’re able to regulate much more easily and automatically. But that doesn’t mean you’re not going to still get rattled sometimes - we are human after all! In today’s episode of the pod, we talk about what dysregulation looks like after you’ve gone through the process of brain reorganization! #podcast #newepisode #dysregulation

“I was able to stay calm really organically” This is one of MANY nuggets of wisdom in today’s episode of the podcast! We interviewed the amazing Christy Mawdsley, who is a member of ITC and is an acupuncturist, RTT practitioner, and Transformational Coach. Our conversation was all about finding your own wellness formula. Christy has done so many modalities and is at a point where she’s found the formula that works for her! We know that there’s so much more out there than ITC - we’re just here to lay the groundwork so your brain is able to process all the other modalities you love! Sign up for our Nurtured Parenting Through Brain Reorganization starting on Monday - DM us for the link to sign up! We, along with Dr. Greer Kirshenbaum, are walking parents through how to nurture themselves and look at their own brain so they can guide their kids in the way they’ve always wanted to. In these 12 weeks, we’ll go through the brainwork exercises you need to get your brain out of survival mode and into nurture mode all backed by Greer’s neuroscientist background. Listen to the In the Cortex Podcast on Apple podcasts, Spotify, or wherever you get your podcasts! #nurture #parentingcourse #brainreorganization #parenting #acupuncture #RTT

Catastrophizing is very common when we have a disorganized brain. It just means our brain is processing everything as a threat, so not getting an expected outcome (in this case, a reply) makes our primitive brain jump into survival mode and think it’s the end of the world! Our cortex, the logical brain, knows that the person who didn’t reply is probably just busy with something else and will get back to us later. But once the primitive brain goes into survival mode, all logic goes out the window. That’s why brain organization is so important! This might be a funny example but living in dysregulation is not fun at all! Take the quiz in our bio to find out how organized your brain is 🧠 #braintok #nervoussystemregulation #noreply #ghosting #primitivebrain
