Does anyone talk about the reality of being a #sahm for years and then your kids growing up and you no longer are? We were out for a simple date before picking up the older kids from school and I just looked around and started crying. I was trying to keep it cute but the tears just wouldn’t stop flowing. I had a mini breakdown of how lost I’ll be initially when I’m waving bye to them and not waking up, pulling myself out of bed, breastfeeding a baby or even teaching, playing and learning with them all day long. I legit looked at Tre and said, “ I’ll finally be by myself after 6 years and I don’t know what I’ll do.” I know there will be plenty to do but wanted to just share it’s ok to grieve new beginnings even when you are unsure.
