Thank you NEPAL 😭❤️ On our way to start trekking in The Himalayas, this was day 2 of getting to our beginning location, which was in Manang at 3,450 meters. This was NOT SMART. I repeat, people take 2 weeks to do this hike circuit, and we’re doing it in 5 days which… Well… 😓 The acclimating might be a huge issue. But we’re in one of the most beautiful places we’ve ever been too, and feel so ALIVE. Have you ever celebrated HOLI?! 🤯🌈 This is what it looks like to bring a @GoPro camera to one of the biggest and most vibrant festivals in the world, also known as Holi which is..🤔 The festival of colors. Celebrated as a sign of victory of good over evil, which you could see that in the many vibrant faces, and colors literally being put ALL OVER YOU. Nepal, you are one of a kind, thank you for being so wild. Normally i’d be really worried about having my camera broken, flooded, or just straight up taken out of my hands during such an intense situation, but there wasn’t a single second I was worried having a GoPro. Literally no other camera I could have brought to capture an experience like this.. One of my favorite parts about the new GoPro is the fact that they have VERTICAL VIDEO, so it’s perfect for the social media stuff too. Full story below 👇🏽 Walking around on the streets I met a beggar who was just looking for some food, so instead of giving money, I took her to a store and bought her a months worth of food for her and her family, rice, oils, essentials.. Later that same day, I was approached by a guy on the street with a golden tooth who started talking to me. I was a little bothered, and looked at him and said “Look buddy, if you’re trying to sell me something (As many people were that day), then don’t waste your time, i’m not buying”. I said goodbye, and we went our separate ways. 👋🏽 A couple of days following I get a message from the woman I gave food too, and it turns out they were husband and wife (Insane coincidence). They invited me over for tea at their house and I happily accepted.. after spending several hours with them and hearing Rams stories about how he was working as a shoe shiner, and wasn’t able to work anymore because someone stole his box on a bus, it broke my heart. He was no longer able to support his family, his wife was begging for food, and his kids education is at risk. So we decided to get him a new shoe shining box in hopes of him being able to give back to the people around him, as well as support his family.. ❤️ We cried so much together haha.. it was so emotional. But to see another human that way is intense. I really believe that if we were less attached to all of these things that we carry and gave a little more freely with our time/energy/resources, the world could be a more caring and loving place. Plus, the more you give, the more you get, it always comes back around! In all sorts of funny ways. What do you think? ✨❤️ #travel #nepal #travelnepal #travellife
