~The Transition~ Celebrating the last day of chemotherapy, the day I left the hospital 3 years ago. October 9th 2019, the day I was able to say I’m not dealing with cancer anymore. The first video was filmed on October 12th 2019. I found it on my archive, I randomly decided to film my face/hair back the and I kept the video. The second video was filmed on October 9th 2022, exactly 3 years after leaving the hospital. I made the video on October 12th 2022, exactly 3 years after filming the first one. This is by far the most meaningful transition that I made or happened to me, it’s mind blowing to watch the whole 3 years unfold in a split of a second. Look at my hair… it instantly looks as I wanted it to be at that moment, 3 years ago! The hair is the symbol, before having cancer I had the intention to grow my hair. I lost it because of chemo, now it’s the longest it has ever been and I’m grateful for it, yes it is just hair, but seeing it gives me meaning. Also as you might see in the video, in the 3 years I kept doing what is most meaningful for me, making videos, more precisely, visual effects videos. I have included "some” of them, I can’t believe the amount of videos I have worked on during the last 3 years, and can’t wait to make many more, many more meaningful ones. On March 2019, before I even finish my chemotherapy treatment. I filmed a video of me after winning a contest. I was so proud (still) and it felt like the passion and the years of making videos are going to be fruitful, I knew that I can do a lot more, so I summarized it by saying "…but it’s just the beginning" that’s the clip you can see at the end.
