PAINTING NEW PLASTER.. its task a lot of people get confused over. So your first steps should be to check the instructions on your finish colour paint as it’ll say if it’s suitable for painting new plaster, if so it’ll give guidelines on how much water to paint ratio you need to mix. If not then what we use is a contract matt emulsion it’s usually a lot cheper than your top coat paint and the mix is 40% water the rest paint. Or you can but a specific paint primer for new plaster. WELL THAT TURNED OUT BETTER THAN I THOUGHT 🔥 🔥 🔥 🔥 🔥 🔥 🔥 SEE THE END RESULT I’m really happy with that ☺️ We went from a all Matt black WC to a high gloss black ceiling and a neutral colour called pale walnut in a velvet Matt finish on the walls, the ceiling was definitely one of my biggest challenges as it had to be absolutely perfect with all the preparation to even justify putting a gloss on, but the patience paid off, it’s literally like having a black mirror on the ceiling and it feels so high now I absolutely love it. #fyp #foryoupage #paintwarrior #painting #tips

BLACK GLOSS CEILING.. First coated but will need a second coat in the morning, but I wanted to share the progress so far. Walls are going a pale neutral colour and should be close to finished tomorrow, so I’ll get some pics on my story. Sanded, cleaned, skimmed, sanded, cleaned, primed, sanded, cleaned, primed, sanded, cleaned, first top coat it’s a lot I know but you can’t be messing around with a gloss finish unless your willing to go through the process, First sand was 120 grit after I skimmed I used a 320 then primed used a 400 primed a 600 and I’ll use a 600 again tomorrow before final toppers #fyp #foryoupage #paintwarrior #painting #tips #viral
