4PLANET REEF RESTORATION EXPEDITION RECAP  A HUGE thank you to @4planet for making this trip possible and for teaching me all about the epic initiatives and programs running to help save the Great Barrier Reef and the planet. I’m amazed at the wealth of knowledge and inspiration I’m leaving with - truly remarkable.  Being part of this 3-day summit is personal for me. Living on the Ningaloo Coast in Western Australia, I’m keenly aware of the importance of climate consciousness, and I feel a responsibility to promote climate awareness through this platform.  Exploring the Great Barrier Reef has been a lifelong dream, and I’m incredibly grateful for the opportunity to not just dive, but scuba dive there. It’s truly an indescribable experience.  @Cairns Aquarium & @foreverreefproject The Forever Reef Project is on a mission to collect EVERY SINGLE CORAL SPECIES from the Great Barrier Reef to preserve as an insurance policy for if we ever need it in the future (hopefully not as corals are extremely resilient!!!)  @Reef Unlimited & MARS PROJECT  I had an epic opportunity to SCUBA DIVE the Great Barrier Reef and see the MARS REEF STARS PROJECT! It is soooo cool how the scientists attach broken coral fragments onto star structures to create new reef systems - fun fact, corals duplicate themselves so soon all the sandy patches in between reefs will be full and thriving! I also learned a lot about the government’s involvement and politics around climate action & in a nutshell this is what it comes down to: We need to give the government the CONFIDENCE to make change around climate action and we can do this by letting them know that we are ALL keen to back them up!
