She understands inclusion and never focuses on his disability. A couple weeks ago I took Ashton and Ocean to the trampoline park by our house, we had never been there and Ash was nervous to try all the trampolines and places here. Ocean held his hand and guided him to the trampolines the entire time, she also told him to follow her voice and he had so much fun! When Ash was little, he used to be terrified of big trampoline parks because they were so loud and had so many things he wasn’t sure how to try because he couldn’t see them. Last year was the first time he started being interested in going to trampoline parks and it was all because of Ocean. She always takes his hand and guides him in big loud places and he feels more comfortable. He also got so much faster at running after her and having fun like the rest of the kids at the park. I love how much Ocean teaches others about inclusion when she guides her brother in new places. If you’re ever unsure of how to include a child who is blind just watch the way their siblings treat them. #blindkidscan #specialneedsfamily #specialneedssiblings #blindnessawareness #septoopticdysplasiaawareness #opticnervehypoplasia #inclusion #inclusionmatters #inclusión #whitecane #mybrotherskeeper #siblinglove #siblinggoals #siblings #ourmagicallight #oureverydaymoments #oureverydaylife #blindtok Video description: A boy walks holding his little sisters hand using his white cane. They run up a trampoline ramp. Then they run together across many trampolines. She helps him get across a suspended bridge by holding his hand. They jump by each other on trampolines. They laugh together getting up on a trampoline. The text reads: “Why is your son who is blind so brave?” “Because he has a little sister to helps him do hard things.” “She understands inclusion and never focuses on his disability.” “She sees her big brother and not his diagnosis when she looks at him.”
