reminders you might need today 🍫❤️🩹⤵️ 1️⃣ it’s okay if you ate more than usual across the Easter weekend!! 2️⃣ even if all you did was lay in bed, your body still needs & uses food just to exist & function 3️⃣ if you’re noticing body changes at the end of Easter, it’s temporary water retention, your body hasn’t changed permanently overnight 4️⃣ please don’t weigh yourself - it’s not helpful & the number won’t be accurate 5️⃣ food is fuel, but it’s also for enjoyment too, if today was purely for enjoyment, that’s okay <3 6️⃣ it’s one day (or weekend) out of 365, you haven’t “fallen off the wagon”, this is part of life & can be part of a balanced lifestyle 🫂 7️⃣ don’t let your harsh inner-critic take away the small joys in your life like enjoying chocolate on Easter with loved ones 8️⃣ our bodies change inevitably across our lifetimes, so please don’t be too caught up worrying about yours changing 9️⃣ you still deserve food the day after eating more than usual 🔟 when you look back at your life, will you really regret eating the yummy food & making memories with loved ones? or would you regret restricting yourself from all the food you enjoy & being all-consumed by fears/thoughts around food? & lastly, guilt doesn’t serve you, you didn’t do anything wrong, okay? 💗 Just leaving these here because I’ve always experienced food guilt or restrictive thoughts around food on Easter (I’m sure I’m not the only one) and while I’ve improved a lot & have worked on my relationship with food, these thoughts still rear their heads… BUT reminders like these have helped me to no longer give those thoughts power. So please take what you need & pass it on 🫂❤️🩹 I hope you had a magical Easter & enjoyed all the foods you felt like enjoying!! Big hugs 🤗🍫 #easter #recovery #bodyimage #foodfreedom #easterweekend #happyeaster #foodguilt #bekindtoyourself #dietculture #bekindtoyourmind
