Food that hasnāt been cooked is more superior to its cooked counterpart. Raw foods typically have more enzymes and probiotics than cooked foods. Enzymes are essential for digestion. The body actually requires most of itās digestive enzymes to come from the food itself. These are called exogenous enzymes. Enzymes within raw living food. Enzymes in raw food, when activated in the mouth, will aid in digestion in the upper part of the stomach. Cooking foods will deplete the food of beneficial enzymes and amino acids (lysine and tryptophan). Undigested foods in the colon will create the onset of bowel dis-regulation.
