In 2004, my grandfather died from skin cancer when I was just nine years old. So, unfortunately most of my childhood memories that contain my granddad, include him being unwell and having to undergo skin grafts from his thigh to his forehead. I apply SPF daily and check my skin regularly because of this, which has resulted in me making a GP appointment due to the discovery of a new mark that feels like it’s mutating.
