AN HONEST AND COMPREHENSIVE REVIEW OF TACOS EL PAPI IN OAKLAND PARK, FLORIDA First thing, the portions of these tacos were really small and that wouldn’t be an issue if they were like $2.50 each but all the tacos about $3.50 to 4.50 each. For context, I got 4 tacos and a small horchata and it came out to $20. The horchata was amazing, plenty of cinnamon and it didn’t have that chalky feel to it so I think they make it in house. The 4 tacos I had were al pastor, saudero, head meat and brain. I’ve had brain only once before and I didn’t like but I wanted to see if different preparation would give me a different experience with it. All the other tacos were good in terms of flavor and they make their own tortillas but I didn’t enjoy the brain taco. If you’ve ever had brain, you know that texture is not for everyone and I just couldn’t get past it. Overall, I’d say if you live in the area give it a shot but don’t drive out of your way for it.
