It was an honor to create this piece for Jordan Poole Created his college jersey out of wood without using any paints or stains. The wood species used were holly, blue pine, yellow heart & blue mahoe. This piece is meant to appear as a jersey that is draped over the end of whatever surface it lies on. It was such an incredible experience collaborating with Jordan, as I’m really starting to experiment with new ways for my art to exist in environments without being hung on a wall. Both sneakers released today during Masters week. The art is inspired by craftsmanship and old wooden golf clubs. The golf locker, 2 sneakers & the polo were created out of 10 different species of wood without using any paints or stains. The species of wood used were black walnut, soft american walnut, holly, ashe, blue mahoe, wenge, rose wood, cedar, padauk & zebra wood.
