Lessons learned from making my own glitter boots 👇 1️⃣ Make sure the base color of your boot is close to your color of glitter. If using a really dark boot, consider starting with a light layer of paint. 2️⃣ Try to do only 2-3 layers of glitter, otherwise it starts to get clumpy in some areas (if I had painted my boots first I think I would’ve avoided this) 3️⃣ Make sure to stuff the boot with tissue paper or newspaper to help it keep its shape while you’re modge podgeing. Overall this was probably not my most successful DIY, but despite some minor imperfections I thought the boots turned out pretty cute, and I’m glad I could give new life to a pair of boots that were really worn out.
