Lipton Yellow Label Tea-Infused Tofu Steaks cooked down in a sweet, savory sauce with that aromatic flavor from the @Lipton Philippines tea ✨ You can find Lipton Yellow Label Tea in supermarkets nationwide or online via Shopee and Lazada ☕️ #EnjoyLiptonMoments #LiptonTeaCreations #LiptonPH Get the full recipe 👇🏼 Sauce 1/2 cup (115 ml) Lipton Yellow Label Tea 3 tbsp soy sauce 3 tbsp brown sugar 1.5 tbsp rice vinegar 1/2 tbsp sriracha or other hot sauce 1.5 tbsp cornstarch 1/2 tbsp sesame oil 1 tsp ground pepper 1.5 tsp dark soy sauce, optional for color Tofu 500 g extra firm tofu or tokwa For Cooking 2 tbsp neutral oil 1 green onions, chopped (white and green parts separated) 2 cloves garlic, minced To Serve Chopped green onions (green part), for garnish Sesame seeds, to garnish Steamed rice Sauce 1. Add 1 Lipton Yellow Label Tea bag in a glass. Pour 200mL boiling water. Leave to sit for 2-3 minutes. 2. Set aside 1/2 cup Lipton Yellow Label Tea and allow to cool for a few minutes until warm. 3. Mix into a bowl with soy sauce, sugar, vinegar, hot sauce, corn starch, sesame oil, pepper, and dark soy sauce (if using). 4. Mix the sauce well and feel free to adjust to your taste. Set aside. Tofu & Cooking 1. Drain the tofu from water. Slice the tofu into 1-inch thick pieces. 2. Heat a large non-stick pan or skillet over medium heat. 3. Once hot, add the oil. Pan-fry the sliced tofu for 3-4 minutes on each side or until golden brown. Flip the tofu and repeat for the remaining side. 4. Remove the tofu from the pan. 5. Add the white parts of the green onion and garlic. Sauté until aromatic. 6. Pour the sauce. Allow the sauce to come to a gentle simmer over medium heat. 7. Add back the pan-fried tofu. Scoop the sauce to pour over the tofu. Leave the sauce to come to a boil and for the tofu to absorb the flavors. 8. Cover the pan and leave to cook for 3-4 minutes. 9. The sauce will start to thicken from the starches. Flip over the tofu and scoop over the sauce. Turn off the heat. To Serve 1. Serve the tofu with rice. Garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds if desired.
