Tonight is officially episode 6 of the Rangoon series with my favorite flavor yet- roasted duck! I love duck so much and the flavor of these Rangoons to me was absolutely perfect š„¹ These took two days to make and was worth every minute. I started out by roasting the duck. This time I didnāt cure it because I didnāt want the duck to be overly salty. I kept it simple with salt, thyme, salted butter, and sage. Roasting the duck in the oven for 4 hours on convection at 225F. Trust the process!! For the next part of the filling I sliced fennel, onions, garlic, and leeks. I caramelized all of those together then let the fat drain out. I have learned if thereās too much fat the Rangoons wonāt stay together. For the acid to cut through the fatty duck I used sweet cherries and orange zest. Thereās something about duck mixed with cherries that really hits different for me š Once everything was mixed together I used Eggroll wrappers to bring it all into the Rangoon. I have really learned to love Eggroll wrappers for the crispy bubbles they get š¤¤ These Rangoons honestly didnāt even need a dipping sauce š #duck #tiktoktaughtme #rangoons
