Honoured to be invited by UNICEF to speak about Polio eradication efforts at their first in-person event in Lahore under #uInfluence; a global network of digital mobilisers for public health. Interacting with such dedicated individuals was proof that compassion still exists! I shared part of my journey, offering insights during our session on using social media for good, creating effective content, and adapting it for various platforms to empower digital volunteers in expanding their impact. As we concluded with an engaging Q&A, the key takeaway was utilising personal strengths and privileges, maintaining authenticity and persistence while navigating to combat misinformation, and boosting awareness for vaccinations against this preventable disease.
