Thank you"⁠ ⁠ Lymphangitis is a sign that there is inflammation in the lymphatic vessels. It is most commonly caused by a bacterial infection. ⁠ ⁠ However it can also be caused by other things like viruses, fungal infections, and insect/spider bites. 🕷⁠ ⁠ The red streak starts at the infected area and "tracks" up towards the armpit or groin. ⁠ ⁠ It is a sign that the infection is getting worse and that you need to seek medical assessment and treatment which is usually antibiotics.⁠ ⁠ If treated quickly, the condition can be mild.
