Here are a few of my favorite Art/design books that I love to flip through when I need some creative inspiration. I’m a huge fan of classic Nintendo games and especially Zelda, which is why one of my favorite books is “The Legend of Zelda: Hyrule Historia. This book is packed full of Zelda history and original key art from various video games. The next book is another great reference for any @gorillaz fan or illustrator. The “Rise of the Ogre” is a great origin story for how the Gorillaz characters were formed and developed into one of the most icon animated bands in the world. From concept art to storyboards, this book has plenty of fun details to piece together the genius’s of Jamie Hewlett and Damion Albarn. Finally I have “Adventure Time: The Art of Ooo” which is one of the coolest books that detail how impressive and incredibly thorough the Adventure Time world is. Each chapter shares behind the scenes artwork and concept sketches that complete the entire backstory of the Adventure Time universe.
