This is the first time we’ve successfully stuck to a Bible reading plan in Chronological order & its been a journey 😂💪 This time we intimately sought the Lord through each chapter instead of just reading to read & check off a box like weve done in the past. Its not about just reading. Its about letting Gods word truly come alive & we have found so much joy going slow dissecting each verse with the Enduring Word App where we fully understand the context. If you’re a new believer or maybe like us who has tried & failed constantly to stick to a reading plan I want to encourage you to do the Bible in a Year Plan with Tara Leigh Cobble. Thats what we’re almost 5 months into & we both wake up every morning ready to dive into Gods word & let Him speak to us. Then we comment back & forth to each other in the discussion section so while Im at home with the girls & Hunter is at work we can feel connected in what Gods teaching us through scripture. Then when Hunter gets home from work Hes prepped for my #1 question which is “How was your relationship with God today?” 🫶🏻 Learn from our mistakes & hopefully you found a helpful tip in reading this to learn the spiritual discipline of reading the word daily because you CRAVE to spend time with God & not to just check off a box. 💗

Compromise 🤝🙏🏻 In the early days of parenting most of our arguments were around this right here. We both were so tired & disconnected in supporting each others needs. I would point of the LACK in Hunter instead of celebrate ALL He was doing that most of the time went unseen by me. I wanted to feel seen, loved, & heard from the moment Hunter walked in the door & he wanted the same. I needed a safe space to unload emotions & hardships the day threw at me & he needed the same. When we learned how to effectively communicate our needs the moment we saw each other after being apart 12 hours that day then we truly gave our best to each other & could model to our girls what a team looks like. To thrive in marriage & parenting you’ve got to get really good at teamwork all day everyday 🤝 In the beginning Genesis 2:18 says, “It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper suitable for him.” Gods design for marriage is for 2 people to be 1 working like a well-oiled machine that complement each other so well 💗🫶🏻

nothing beats intimate time with your Savior 💗 I had a really unhealthy habit until a few months ago which was checking social media the moment I woke up. As an entrepreneur who’s businesses are entirely virtual the connections all come from these apps & I was realizing a lack mentality in myself that I felt pressure always to be on & if I wasn’t then I was missing out on opportunities. God so humbly convicted me in that lack mentality & showed me how if I choose to put Him first in my everyday then those worries will fade. He was right. I started putting a blocker on my social media apps a few months ago it’s called the Refocus app & I set them to not allow me to open until after 12 pm everyday. Some days I’ve failed but most days I’ve honored that commitment I made to myself & Him. It’s honestly changed the entire trajectory of my days for the better. Way more intentional with God, my children, my spouse. The temptation & desire to check my apps has faded. I now come on here with intention, purpose, & fresh direction from God everyday. Just sharing this in hopes to encourage you that if you’re living in a lack mindset of “missing out” - go give that to God & match it with action. The Biblical Life Coaching program I went through challenged me SO much in becoming aware of lack in my life & where I wasn’t putting my trust in God. I’m so grateful for all of the healing & growth that has happened from it.

God doesn’t always change your situation, sometimes he changes your identity. Ever been like Jacob? 🙋‍♀️ Running from your destiny 💃🏻 💃🏻💃🏻 Yep, I know I have. It wasn’t until I said “God, I’m done doing it my way. The world’s way. Cultures way. I keep falling short & feeling so empty.” That Jesus wrapped me up in what felt like a warm blanket & said FINALLY 💛 Drop a 💃🏻 if you’re ready to stop running, & submit to your one true Savior. (he’ll never force you to, it’s up to you to be willing)

Its a hard question but it allows me to reflect on the day & become more aware what distractions hindered me from living fully for Him that day. 💕🫶🏻
