❤️God never fails. He never fails to provide for us, to love us, nurture us, protect us, teach us and he never fails in his promises, which makes me all the more proud to serve and follow him, more importantly, following Christ Jesus. Here is my testimony: I grew up in a household where going to church was not a part of our routine, not to say that no one in my family didn't believe, but that with the circumstances that we had, it was hard for us to go every week so we didn’t. Fast-foward to my teenage years and I come across my first relationship that turned into a marriage. At first, I thought it was great with some ups and downs that could be solved and as it went on, it turned into something dark that I never thought would happen. It was filled with manipulation (from both parties), emotional and physical abuse. I remember praying to God to get me through it and help my ex become the man that I wanted him to be, but God didn’t answer all those prayers. He got me through the marriage day by day and then the divorce after, but he didn’t answer my prayer to make my ex the man I wanted him to be and I could not have been more thankful to God for not answering that prayer. I do not wish divorce on anyone and I don’t like that I went through one but I thank God for what he pulled me out of and the lesson that he taught me. He taught me to trust him in all aspects of my life. Through my pain and suffering, over the course of a year, the Lord has taught me to lean on him when I need him, trust him for he knows what’s best for me and have faith in him that he will bring peace and joy that surpasses anything that we could ever know. Jesus died on the cross for our sins, for the guilt, the sorrow, the pain that we feel. He died so that we can be reconciled to God through him. God loved us so much, as we were all created in his image and he does not want anyone to perish, that he sent his one and only son down in human form to live the perfect life and die for our sins. Jesus took the ultimate punishment that we so rightfully deserve. We don’t deserve anything that we have but it’s through God’s grace and mercy, that through Jesus Christ and his sacrifice on the cross, that we may be reconciled to God through him, become saved, and have eternal life. Looking back on this last year, the Lord has done so many wonderful things in my life. I was saved back in 2022, but it wasn’t until Dec 2023 that it truly hit me what it means to be saved and what I had to do to change my life around to be able to follow Christ like I should. I started attending church every Sunday, joined a wonderful small group of women who want to pursue Jesus and encourage each other on our journeys, I am blessed with a wonderful and beautiful relationship with a man who loves me unconditionally and who helps me to pursue God more, I have seen joy and light in my parents eyes as they watched me get baptized and publicly show my faith that I have in Jesus Christ. On February 25,2024, I got baptized in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit; I put to death my old life, where I was a slave to sin and rose again in new life and faith in Jesus Christ. I have been born again in his name and I will never be the same. I have a new understanding and outlook on life. I am not bound by my mistakes but rather, are forgiven and are able to live my life the way God wanted me to live it. That doesn’t mean that I won’t sin, because we are all sinners, but I am no longer a slave to sin. I will continue to pursue Christ and righteousness and help others along the way, so that no one shall perish. May this be a sign for anyone who wants to know God more, to go for it! Don’t be afraid of what the world thinks! Embrace what God has given you, live for him and his glory and just see how amazing your life can be, how much God can do for you when you let him in.❤️ John 14:6, Romans 8:37-39, John 10:28-29 #beauty #God #Christ #jesuslovesyou #Jesus
