There’s this part of me that wants to keep this story to myself because it’s so beautiful to watch. However, I believe this is a story that needs to be shared. I feel a calling to share it. The story of these two guys, who met each other 12 years ago but act like they’ve been in each other’s lives from the beginning. Their story is a redemptive one. It’s a reflection, in part, to God’s nature as a Good Father. It’s a beautifully written story of unconditional love. A stepdad who has laid down his life to care for, provide for, and love his stepson without a thought. It’s also a story of a young man who has unquenchable joy. He views life with such purity and goodness. He gives that away without pretense to his dad. It’s a story of two best friends who communicate without a lot of language dialogue but words aren’t always necessary. It’s the story of a father and son who are best friends. They both give to each other uniquely and love so selflessly. Some have asked why we share our lives on social media. I’ll answer that with what my husband has said. He shouldn’t be the anomaly. This should be the norm but it’s not. Hopefully, these videos and their relationship will inspire others. Thank y’all so much for being a part of our story.
