Despite what you see in our videos, Courtney is the more preferred parent. And to be honest, it’s not always easy. It’s not easy for Courtney as she gets burnt out sometimes, and it’s not easy for me when my daughter prefers to be with her mom more. It’s also not easy on Madison either. If your family experiences this, you probably understand what I’m talking about. BUT be patient—with yourself, your spouse, and your child. Don’t pull back. Keep showing up. Validate your child’s feelings and give them time to process being with you instead. Don’t take it personally (that one’s hard but super important). With time, things will eventually change, and your bond will grow stronger. #parenting #dadlife #parenthood #preferredparent #dad #girldad #motherhood #fatherhood #parentsoftoddlers #parentsoftiktok #momlife #toddlerlife #toddlers #parenthack #parentingadvice #tipsforparents #parentingtips

I had a conversation with a friend the other night where we were asked to discuss a question at Church: If you were having a conversation with God, what’s one thing you hope he would say to you? Both of us had the same answer. We would hope that God would tell us we are doing great. Despite loving social media and learning a lot about motherhood, I often find myself comparing my mothering skills to others online, leading to #momguilt. I worry about giving my child enough attention, giving her too much attention, not teaching her enough, not being outside enough, not slowing down enough for her, lacking patience, not cooking enough vegetables for her—the list goes on. But one thing that brings me peace is knowing that God chose me to be Madison’s mommy. He entrusted her to me, knowing that I am what she needs. God determines the times and places where we should live, the families we will be in (Acts 17:26-27), and although I don’t always understand the why behind his decisions, I trust that he knows best as our creator. So if you’ve read all of this, I want to remind you that you’re doing great! 🤟🏼 @Bluey #bluey #motherhood #momlife #momguilt #parenting #parents #mom #mamabear #momanddaughter #momproblems #momstrong #disney #motherhoodquotes #motherhoodunplugged #motherhoodthroughinstagram #motherhoodjourney #momcommunity #yourenotalone #youredoinggreat

This actually happened last week, although I'm just now getting around to posting about it. But why am I sharing this? Two reasons: 1. I want others in relationships to understand that all relationships require work and effort. There's no such thing as a perfect relationship; people argue, disagree, and experience emotions, sometimes reacting instead of responding maturely. 2. There is hope. Reconciliation and resolution are possible. It's not easy; it requires each person to be committed to humbly listening to the other, validating feelings, forgiving, and discussing solutions for moving forward. This journey isn't easy; for some, it means letting go of pride, while for others, it requires genuine forgiveness. I firmly believe that with God, all things are possible. Matthew 19:26 says, "Jesus looked at them and said, 'With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”
