Replying to @💞Izzy💞 Hydrogen peroxide acts as a mild bleaching agent that can correct the color of a stain on clothes by breaking down the color-causing molecules in the stain. Here's how it works: Oxidation Process: Hydrogen peroxide (H₂O₂) releases oxygen when it comes into contact with organic materials, like stains. This oxygen reacts with the chromophores (the part of the molecule responsible for color) in the stain, breaking their chemical bonds and altering the structure of the molecule so that it no longer reflects light in the same way. This results in the stain's color fading or being removed entirely. Bleaching Effect: The breakdown of the chromophores often leads to the stain becoming colorless, as the molecules either lose their color or are broken down into smaller, colorless components. This is particularly effective on stains caused by organic materials such as wine, coffee, and blood. Safety for Fabrics: While hydrogen peroxide is a bleach, it is generally milder than chlorine bleach, making it safer for use on a wider range of fabrics without causing significant damage or discoloration to the fabric itself. However, it's still advisable to test it on a small, inconspicuous area first, especially on colored fabrics. In summary, hydrogen peroxide corrects the color of a stain by chemically altering or breaking down the color molecules in the stain, effectively reducing or eliminating the visible stain on the fabric. #stain #stains #stainremoval #hydrogenperoxide #STEM #science #explained #cleaning #cleaningtips #laundrytips #howtoremovestains

I SPELLED DISSOLVING WRONG 🥺🥺🥺 Persil recently released their new laundry pack packaging, it dissolves 3.4X faster than their old pod! Those times are in minutes by the way, not hours. This is not meant to recreate a washing machine environment, only to measure how quickly a pack dissolves in cold water. #science #experiment #satisfying #persil #laundrydetergent #laundry #laundrypod

This is a new GE oven that has a removable tray at the bottom of the oven to make spillovers extremely easy to clean. Just pop it out and throw it in the dishwasher and you’re done. Kind of shocked this hasn’t been invented until this year especially considering that toaster crumb trays have existed for ages! What do you think? #oven #ovencleaning #cleaning #clean #ge #geoven #geappliances #invention

This is a semi automated high pressure press that us dry cleaners use when we need a little extra horsepower. It’s a very helpful piece of equipment compared to some of the other stuff out there. What other things do you wanna see that us dry cleaners do? #drycleaning #dryclean #behindthescenes #explained #laundry #pressing #ironinghacks

Replying to @TJ You should know that when it comes to laundry, cold water isn’t that cold. Cold water is 30 C / 85 F, warm water is 40 C / 104 F and hot water is 50 C / 122 F. It’s important to keep this in mind as ‘cold’ water does a great job cleaning your clothing and has a ton of benefits like preventing premature colors from fading and allowing your clothes to last longer. Plus you can save a lot of money on energy and be more sustainable when doing laundry 😊 its earth month so lets show some love to our favorite planet !!! #earth #earthmonth #sustainability #laundry #laundrytips #sustainablecleaning #cleaning #clean #cleaningtips #laundryhacks #coldwaterwashing
