“Uova in purgatorio” in Italian literally means “eggs in purgatory”! Honestly I am not sure why this strange name 🤌, when I make it, I feel like I’m in heaven rather than in a place of penance 😁 . It’s easy, quick and delicious, definitely in my top 5 breakfast recipe (but I am happy to have it at any time of the day 😋) .
