Siren by the sea ✨🧜‍♀️🏰 I’ve wanted to visit this medieval island castle along Lake Geneva for so long! It’s apparently one of the best-preserved medieval European castles and one of Switzerland’s most visited historic monuments. Some notes on visiting Château de Chillon ⬇️ 🚙 Parking is super easy and right in front of the castle - it’s also free but you just need to pick up a little permit at the ticket office 🎟️ Tickets are 15 CHF 🚌 There are also buses you can get from Montreux - it’s less than a 10 minute drive 🇨🇭 It’s located an hour outside of Geneva 🌊 And you can actually explore a lot without going in! This shot is outside of the grounds and you don’t need tickets to walk along the waterfront or to explore pretty close up 📍Château de Chillon, Switzerland 🇨🇭 Ps. POV: you wake up at Number 12 Grimmauld Place ✨🕯️📖 This is a can’t miss stay for Harry Potter fans ⬇️ 🛌 There are 2 bedrooms: A green regal Slytherin esque room with a double bed and a Gryffindor esque dorm theme with bunk beds 🎬 They have Netflix on every TV and logged into a house account so you can watch Harry Potter in nearly every room. ✨ The decor is amazing! It feels like a film set, the attention to detail is so good (it also reminds me of our house so obviously I loved it). 🍳 Bring your own food. There is a local pub and corner shop nearby but I packed groceries for us. 🫧 Bring toiletries like own soap, shampoo and conditioner! They do have fresh towels available though - not all airbnbs do that! 💰 Prices are around £160-265 per night depending dates and length of stay 📆 Be sure to book and plan in advance too!
