Here’s the reality of it. Emotions are a real SOB if you don’t understand the depth of their purpose. They feel like they’re abusing you and spitting on you without the decency of calling it rain. The superficial first layer we need to peel back is that our nervous system uses them as indications of importance. We learn emotional regulation through action and experience. Phase 2: emotions show us what’s real and what’s not. They help us tune into our hearts perspective which layers between the material and energetic. Phase 3: Emotions become the compass showing us alignment, affirmation and agitation that can be positive. This is good but feels new. This is higher source calling. Phase 4: surrender and release. You’re not your thoughts and they are not you. However the power of observing one’s emotions will place you in the seat of power often times in this state grounding you into a truth that is home for the first time. It draws you away from what once was or currently is and with love draws you to what can be. This phase is non biased loved, unconditional observation of the self. In my experience this requires step by step action over time. For others that’s not their truth, they can often elevate to those higher states and I celebrate that for them too. 😶🌫️Our overthinking is conflict avoidant. It isn’t designed as a punishment but as a reminder. It often stirs up big emotions as an invitation to break old ways of being. If you can look your stories and victim held perspective in the eyes and invite it to a conversation with the intention of understanding what needs we are externally resourcing or ignoring you’ll be astonished as how much the feeling changes so quickly as well. Then the next time these patterns surface you can directly call them out with strategy. ❗️Quote that changed my life forever 👇 “The brain thinks like the heart beats.” Your nervous system is a translator that you cannot turn off. (Partially because it’s not you… you’re not meat having a spiritual experience, your spirit having a meat based experience lol) Just like any good translator there are different languages for different environments. When perception of stress is being experienced the brain begins to translate your experience as if everything is falling apart. Its alerting your conscious mind of what your subconscious experiences knows. (Not your intuition however) This experience is not only based on objective perception like almost being hit by a car, but also the subjective perception of an experience that looks like an older experience when you did get hit by a car. The brain doesn’t care what it’s is, it care what it looks like!!! You can change perception in a lot of ways. The way I find more interesting is altered states of awareness through different self regulation habits. For me this has been the most sustainable and easy to digest form of self expression and self awareness because it happens naturally throughout time as we change the affinity of our nervous system to seek out what it thinks is going to kill us or harm us to looking for art and connection in the world. Like this video shows this perception not only changes our perception but also how healthy we are at a cellular level. Nearly every dis-ease we experience has a root cause in inflammatory responses. Because our brain doesn’t turn off, our thoughts can strong impact our inflammation levels if all we perceive is danger and stress. (This is also why I speak a lot at schools, hospitals, autoimmune clinics, and pain management offices because the connection between, mind body and brain has such an influence.)
