Trying Sung Shi Kyung’s trendy brie pasta. My friend recently tried it and she thought it was fine. I’m not the biggest cheese fan. I do like baked brie though, so I figured let me try this brie pasta! Overall, she and I are on the same page..I think its pretty good as in its fine and simple, but I don’t think its spectacular lol Of course you can make this faster on the stove instead, but I’m sharing how it can be made in a simple rice cooker. * Ingredients Pasta Soft brie Basil Cherry tomatoes Garlic (I did not use) Olive oil Salt Pepper 1. Heat up water in the rice cooker till it boils by switching the setting to cook. 2. Once the water boils, add your pasta. I used about 4oz of whatever pasta I had around. TIP! Use a spoon to keep the lid slightly off so the water doesn’t boil over while you’re off doing something else. 3. While the pasta is cooking prep the ingredients! Slice the brie, tomatoes, and basil. I used about 4-5oz of brie. You can also add minced garlic if you’d like! 4. Once the pasta is cooked to your preference, drain it. 5. Add the prepped ingredients and olive oil, salt, and pepper to taste. Mix till the cheese melts and you get a creamy pasta 6. Adjust seasoning as needed. *I actually timed it for yall and it took 7min on my stove and 16min in my rice cooker, but this series is about the rice cooker and not the stove :p Anyways, “non-active” cook time just means I can do something else like study or clean. #amycooksfood #cookininricecooker #sungshikyungpasta #sungshikyung #briepasta #viralfood #trendyfood #koreanfoodtrends #ricecooker #smallkitchencooking #cookingforone #dormcooking #collegecooking #ricecookerhacks #cookinghacks

“Welcome back to my cookin in rice cooker series. Where I show you everything I made in my tiny rice cooker during my college years” I can’t believe it’s almost been 2 years since I posted my first rice cooker video 😳 Yes, I’ve seen the comments and I hear yall, so I’m bringing the series back! For those who don’t know. My rice cooker series originated from the various cooking hacks and adaptations my friends and I did/made in college as low income students. I mostly shared recipes and hacks in my tiny rice cooker bc..well she’s more affordable and I lived alone. Also, at the end of the day, the series was born from my experience being low income and I wanted to keep the series accessible. A few years later tho…I don’t live alone anymore and the tiny rice cooker is not the most practical for daily use in my household..many more mouths to feed lol so I will be more frequently using my larger rice cooker. Which I think works out bc I did get questions and requests for models like it! As a plus..I do think my larger rice cooker is still pretty affordable compared to others. It was about $80. Do not worry, the tiny rice cooker is not going away tho : ) #amycooksfood #cookininricecooker #ricecooker #dormcooking #collegecooking #ricecookerhacks #cookinghacks

Do you know about fruit kimchi? 🍊 As someone who loves to cook, I naturally like to learn about different cuisines. I probably spend most of my internet time reading about food or watching food documentaries. I’ve added links to various posts about fruit kimchi that were my inspiration, and if you want to try exactly what I made, recipe is below as well! If you want to try exactly what I made. Here’s a little recipe! Ingredients 3 tangerines 1 green onion stalk, chopped 1/2tsp gochugaru 1 small garlic clove, minced 1/2tbsp fish sauce Sesame seeds Sugar (optional)* 1. Peel the tangerines 2. Combine everything! *Most geotjeori I’ve seen uses some form of sweetener. Even my own cabbage geotjeori does, but I made this tangerine geotjeori without sugar bc the tangerines were already sweet!
